Melissa Modifer
is a singer/songwriter, musician, actress, dancer, goofball, and all-around entertainer living in New York City. Born and raised on the west coast in sunny California, she fell in love with the stage at a very young age, thanks to her wonderful mother who immersed her into lessons of EVERY kind. The violin lessons didn’t stick so well, but the piano lessons were a wonderful investment (thanks, mom). In high school, she picked up a guitar (aka stole her dad’s…thanks, dad) and taught herself how to play with Dixie Chicks tabs she found on Google, and a little later on by watching every Tori Kelly YouTube video her eager fingers could click on (thanks, Tori).

In college, Melissa received a BMus in Music Theatre Performance from Arizona State University and moved straight to New York to be among the crazy dreamers of dreams who inspire her to keep dreaming and moving forward (thanks, friends).

Melissa has an acoustic EP available on iTunes and Spotify titled Shooting Star. It’s a collection of 5 original songs that encompass the honesty in her heart and is a summary of who she is as a songwriter. (It’s also the same price as your daily almond latte, but will last much longer than your morning caffeine buzz.)

Feel free to peruse this beautiful website made up of Melissa’s shenanigans and keep an eye out for new music in the works! Melissa is available for private vocal lessons, coachings, and is available for hire as a music director. Please contact for more information (or just to say hi…she’s pretty friendly). And don’t forget to like her music page on Facebook for more happiness! It’s the Journey of a Dreamer, baby…
